so coming off from the last shoot, there were some amazing photos that came out of it and i was really proud of the models and what they produced. but we soon realised we missed a lot of shots and required a reshoot. this time around, i kept my model numbers a lot smaller, as shooting for 6 models was unexpectedly harder. so i narrowed it down to 3 models instead. my photographer was unfortunately sick at the time, so i had to learn how to use my camera. thanks to copious amount of youtube hours on the way to the shoot and fiddling with some settings, i actually was able to learn a thing or two during the shoot. meanwhile however there was one factor i completely missed; the location. where the hell was i gonna shoot?

then i remembered…where did i used to skate? eureka, my local skatepark.

it was funny at the time because when we rolled up with merch and cameras in hand, we were setting up for the shoot when a group of eshays (delinquent teens for those not aussie) pulled up also. the gang and i getting ready to be harassed, they completely 180’d walked away, and then 5 minutes later came back down to the skatepark. confused? yeah i was too…until they pulled out the bong and we realised they were sneaking away to have a cheeky sesh. they figured that we’d be cool with it and we totally were. so here we were, shooting for merch while these teenage boys were getting zooted in the background. so i’ve named the shoot in honour of them:

the zoot shoot.
